Today will be another very hot day with high temperatures in the 90s
to low 100s...and heat index values in the afternoon and early
evening of 96 to 105 degrees with the highest values across north
central Kansas. There is a slight chance for a few isolated
thunderstorms again late this afternoon and evening with large hail
and damaging winds...and perhaps an isolated tornado possible with
the strongest storms. Wednesday and Thursday will be cooler with
highs ranging from the 80s up to the mid 90s...and there will be at
least a chance for thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening
both days. Overnight lows will be in the 60s and 70s.
