...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN GREELEY...SOUTHERN
VALLEY...BUFFALO...SHERMAN...HOWARD AND NORTHWESTERN HALL COUNTIES
THROUGH 930 PM CDT...

At 859 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Scotia to near Rockville to near Amherst.
Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kearney, St. Paul, Gibbon, Ravenna, Shelton, Loup City, Elm Creek,
Cairo, Odessa, Pleasanton, Scotia, Arcadia, Dannebrog, North Loup,
Wolbach, Litchfield, Amherst, Elba, Ashton, and Howard City.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 255 and 262.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
south central and central Nebraska.
