The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Archuleta County in southwestern Colorado...

* Until 830 PM MDT.

* At 534 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1
  to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           forest service roads, county roads, highways, and low
           water crossings.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Chromo, Juanita, Gato and Pagosa Junction.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Navajo River, Little Navajo River, Rio Blanco, and San Juan River

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
