...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following
  county, Archuleta.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 820 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
    Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. An additional 0.5
    to 1.00 inch of rain is possible over the warned area
    overnight. High flows will continue in creeks, streams and
    rivers overnight. Sections of state highways, county roads
    and forest service roads may experience washouts.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages along the
    San Juan, Navajo River, Rio Blanco, Rito Blanco and Mill
    Creek
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chromo, Juanita, Gato, Pagosa Junction and Hwy 84.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become life
threatening in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams
or creeks.
