Thunderstorms are unlikely to occur directly over the Slough
Canyon Fire today, but nearby thunderstorms could produce impacts
such as lightning within 10 miles of the fire and strong outflow
winds potentially greater than 35 mph. Thunderstorms are more
likely at the forecast site tomorrow, but chances are still low
(less than 15 percent). It is more likely storms occur over the
nearby high terrain. Periods of heavy rainfall is possible with
any storms that move over the fire.
