...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL MESA COUNTY
THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 232 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles south of Grand Junction, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Mesa
County.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 49 and 51.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 137 and 150.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
