...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Western Sheridan County in northwestern Kansas...
  Thomas County in northwestern Kansas...
  Western Gove County in west central Kansas...
  Logan County in west central Kansas...

* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 244 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is may begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Colby, Oakley, Grinnell, Levant, Rexford, Monument, Gem, Menlo,
    Russell Springs, Mingo, Angelus, Halford, The Monument Rocks and
    Seguin.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
