.DISCUSSION...
Showers and storms are forecast to continue through most, if not all
of the night. Lightning and gusty winds up to 45 mph would be the
main hazards. The best coverage should remain along and north of
Interstate 70. Warm to hot temperatures are again forecast for
Monday with highs in the mid 90s to low 100s. If clouds and rain can
hang on a bit longer then temperatures may be lower. Overall,
easterly winds around 10-15 mph are forecast. Another threat for
afternoon and evening storms exists for eastern Colorado and NW
Kansas during the afternoon and evening hours. Similar to previous
days, lightning and wind gusts up to 70 mph will be the main
concerns.
Hot temperatures remain forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday with low
humidity but winds are lacking for any fire weather concerns. A cool
down with increased rain chances remains forecast for the end of the
week and into the weekend.
