.DISCUSSION...
Well above normal temperatures will continue through the start of next
week as a ridge of high pressure aloft remains centered across the
Central Plains. Fire weather concerns will be limited to afternoon
and evening thunderstorms bringing strong and erratic winds through
Sunday. Potential for critical fire weather conditions increases on
Monday as strong southerly winds gusting to 40 mph, much above normal
temperatures and humidities in the 20 to 30% range will increase the
threat for grassfires.
