.DISCUSSION...
Little to no concern for critical fire weather conditions the next
few days with relative humidity likely above 20%. Winds will remain
strong around 20-25 mph through about midnight when the front will
begin to push more into the area. Expect winds to shift fairly
quickly to out of the north as the front passes.
Storms will be possible starting this afternoon and potentially
lasting overnight. Wind gusts between 30-60 mph are possible along
with maybe some blowing dust if the winds are strong enough. The
storms will generally favor those west of a line from Leoti, KS to
McCook, NE. Storms will remain possible Tuesday and Wednesday during
the afternoon and evening hours. These storms will generally favor
south of I-70 and may produce gusts around 30-60 mph.
