.DISCUSSION...
Low concern for critical fire weather conditions the next few days.
While temperatures are forecast to be in the 100s, relative humidity
is forecast to generally be above 15%. There is a 20% chance that
counties along the Colorado border mix in drier air and have briefly
critical conditions with wind gusts around 25 mph from the southeast.
Winds on Sunday are currently forecast to be lighter around 10-15
mph, mitigating the risk for critical conditions.
Showers and storms are possible over the weekend, but low chance.
There is only a 5-10% chance that a storm makes it into Eastern
Colorado today. The chance increase to 30% tomorrow with most of the
area having the low chance. These showers and storms may produce
gusts winds and lightning which may spark fires.
Otherwise, heat index values should reach the 100s the next few days.
Heat related illnesses will be more likely, especially during the
afternoon hours.
