.DISCUSSION...
This morning, Dense fog is occurring along and north of U.S. 36, and
Graham county. There also scattered showers and weak storms across
the area. Both the fog and precipitation are expected to end before
noon. Today will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the 90s
across most of the area. Winds from the south are expected to be
gusting in the 25-35 MPH range with occasional gusts up to 45 MPH
being possible.
Over the next week, RH values remain above 30%, eliminating any risk
of critical fire weather conditions. However, there will be near
daily chances of gusts in the 20-30 MPH range and storms over the
next week. Thankfully, any storms are expected to produce beneficial
precipitation, although it may be fairly scattered. Friday evening is
currently the best chance for widespread storms, which may be severe.
