.DISCUSSION...

Winds will be variable between the south and east over the next 4 hours,
but calming to about 5-10 mph. Winds will remain calm throughout the
night and become southwesterly at about 3 am CT. Dry thunderstorms remain
possible over the next 3-4 hours, which could serve as another source
for fire starts. There has been some new thunderstorm development to the
east of the fire site, which should begin to wane as the sun sets.

McCook ASOS Observation 7 pm CT: Winds out of the south at 18 mph,
gusting to 28 mph. Thunderstorms in the vicinity. Temperature was 104 F,
with relative humidity 16%.
