This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

South winds at 30 to 40 mph will gust around 55 mph this afternoon.
Wind of this magnitude will create hazardous travel conditions,
especially for high profile vehicles on west to east routes, such as
Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest. Reductions in
visibility due to dust around one mile or less are possible
especially near dust source regions this afternoon this may also
impact travel. Strong winds could also result in fire growth, should
any fires develop. Avoid any activities that involves sparks.

Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of an approaching cold
front in northeast Colorado late this afternoon and evening. A few
severe storms capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 65 mph and
perhaps blowing dust are possible, mainly between 4 PM and 9 PM MDT.
