Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen daytime
highs top off in a wide range from the upper 80s into the mid 90s.
Lows during this time ranged in the 60s. There was no
precipitation.

OUTLOOK... the stretch of hot and above normal temperatures for
the area will continue today and persist through much of the
upcoming week. Upper 90s through the mid 100s for highs today
through Tuesday, then 90s from Wednesday through Friday and 80s
for next Saturday. High heat indices from 100 to 105 will occur
over the next 72 hours, peaking on Monday where a good portion of
the area is currently under a Heat Advisory. There will be low
chances for precipitation today and Monday that may help with the
heat, but chances will occur late in the day into the evening
hours.
