Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Central High Plains region observed showers and thunderstorms
during the evening and portions of the overnight period. At 2am MDT
(3am CDT) temperatures ranged from 61 degrees in Haigler, Nebraska
to 80 degrees in Hill City, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... Another hot day is in store with widespread triple
digit temperatures across the area. A Heat Advisory remains in place
across Graham and Norton counties this afternoon where heat indices
are forecast to exceed 105 degrees. A 20-30 percent chance for
storms exists along and east of a McCook to Leoti line with strong
to damaging winds the primary hazard. Not as hot Wednesday and
Thursday with highs in the 90s. Showers and storms are again
possible each day with some severe potential as well.
