211 AEUS73 KGRB 121305 AQAGRB Air Quality Alert Message Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Madison WI relayed by National Weather Service Green Bay WI 805 AM CDT Thu Jun 12 2025 WIZ018>021-030-031-035>039-045-048-049-074-122000- Lincoln-Langlade-Menominee-Northern Oconto County-Marathon- Shawano-Wood-Portage-Waupaca-Outagamie-Brown-Waushara-Winnebago- Calumet-Southern Oconto County- Including the cities of Merrill, Tomahawk, Antigo, Keshena, Neopit, Mountain, Lakewood, Townsend, Wausau, Shawano, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Stevens Point, Plover, New London, Waupaca, Clintonville, Appleton, Green Bay, Redgranite, Wautoma, Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Chilton, Brillion, New Holstein, Little Suamico, Sobieski, Brookside, Oconto, and Pensaukee 805 AM CDT Thu Jun 12 2025 The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, and Wood. WHAT...The PM2.5 AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups level. WHERE...All areas outside of northern and eastern Wisconsin. WHEN...From 8 AM this morning until 3 PM this afternoon. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions... Sensitive groups: Make outdoor activities shorter and less intense. It is OK to be active outdoors but take more breaks. Watch for symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath. People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick relief medicine handy. People with heart disease: Symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, or unusual fatigue may indicate a serious problem. If you have any of these, contact your health care provider. Additional Details: We are adjusting the coverage of the advisory to account for PM2.5 observations this morning. We anticipate improving air quality to continue to move in from the north and the east. It remains possible that areas to the west will the see the advisory extended past 3 PM.
