Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
318 AM CDT Mon Jun 17 2024

Skies were clear to partly cloudy early this morning. It was a
warm start to the day with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower
70s away from Lake Michigan.

All eyes turn to a thunderstorm complex across Minnesota and northern
Iowa. This complex of storms is expected to move northeast into
northern Wisconsin later this morning. Some of the strongest
storms could produce damaging winds, hail and torrential
downpours.

For this afternoon, it will turn very warm across central and
east-central Wisconsin where the heat index could climb into the
lower 90s. High temperatures will vary greatly with readings in
the lower to middle 70s over the north where more cloud cover and
rain is expected. Across east-central Wisconsin, high temperatures
should reach the upper 80s. Another round of showers and
thunderstorms is possible again late this afternoon and tonight.
Some of these storms could become strong or severe with damaging
winds, hail and torrential downpours. For Tuesday, it will be hot
with high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with heat
index values in the 90s including some upper 90s across portions
of central and east-central Wisconsin.
