...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 15
  inches, with amounts in excess of 18 inches possible in the
  northwest part of Vilas County. Northwest winds gusting to 30 to 40
  mph, resulting in considerable blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Vilas County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
  conditions will significantly impact the morning and afternoon
  commutes today, and travel across the region.  Isolated power
  outages are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Holiday travelers and hunters should be
  prepared for very difficult travel conditions in the Northwoods
  through tonight.
