- Frost/Freeze Conditions Again Tonight

Surface ridging is overhead tonight with optimal radiational
cooling conditions. Widespread frost and freezing temperatures
expected across much of the forecast area, possibly cold enough to
put an end to the growing season, which is about a week from its
climatological end. Some frost is also possible Thursday night as
surface ridging slowly retreats east.

- Upper Low with chance of showers late week

The upper trough axis moves east by Thursday but an energetic
shortwave trough across central Canada amplifies and cuts off into
an upper low that moves over the Great Lakes by Friday into
Saturday bringing clouds and the chance of showers. The showers
will end by Sunday as heights rise and the low moves off to the
east.

VFR conditions will continue through Wednesday night. Some steam
fog and other shallow radiational fog will form by daybreak but
should be shallow enough not to affect runway visibility at most
sites. Winds will be north to northeast blo 10 knots.

Surface high pressure building in and winds are diminishing so the
SCA was dropped. After tranquil conditions today and Thursday
under high pressure, another SCA may be needed for Friday as
southwest winds on the backside of the high increase.
