.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 306 PM EDT Wed Aug 27 2025

- Rain and some thunderstorms possible tonight into Thursday

A cold front will bring some rain and possible thunderstorms
tonight into Thursday though rain amounts should be on the
relatively light side. Precipitation moves in from north to south
with showers/storms exiting likely by mid Thursday afternoon.
Not expecting severe weather as shear and instability are pretty
weak. While widespread precipitation moves off by mid Thursday
afternoon...with north/northwesterly flow behind the front cannot
completely rule out some isolated lake effect showers lingering
into Thursday night.

- Warmer weather starting Friday, dry into next week

High pressure builds in Friday bringing drier and warmer weather
that continues into next week. While Friday will be slow to warm
up, Saturday through at least Wednesday should see high
temperatures in the 70s to around 80 degrees. Cooler overnight
lows will persist through the weekend - with 40s Friday night
through Sunday night...before lows in the mid to upper 50s return
Monday night into at least Wednesday night. Next chance for
widespread precipitation looks to be later next week.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z FRIDAY/...
Issued at 744 PM EDT Wed Aug 27 2025

VFR conditions will continue overnight. Clouds will increase
Thursday morning as a front moves from the west. Latest near term
models show a weakening in the convection from the north but a
stronger signal of storms from due west. This correlates with
increased instability with that portion of the system. Have
adjusted timing in TAF`s and the potential for storms, putting in
Prob30 at AZO and BTL for potential thunder. There remains a
chance for storm at MKG and GRR but given uncertainty have left it
out of the TAF for now. System will move through quickly with
MVFR cigs and vsbys between 11Z to 17Z from west to east. VFR will
then dominate after. Winds will shift to the northwest with gusts
upwards of 20 to 25 mph in the wake of the front.

.MARINE...
Issued at 306 PM EDT Wed Aug 27 2025

Cold front to bring showers, a few thunderstorms and the
potential for waterspouts late tonight through midday Thursday. As
the front exits, breezy conditions are expected to result in
Small Craft Advisory conditions and high swim risk waves of 3 to 5
feet or greater. Calmer waters are expected Friday through the
weekend as high pressure moves in.
