The highest gusts will occur towards Lake Michigan. Power outages are very possible with this magnitude of wind. Snow showers will continue both this evening and through the night. The heaviest snow will occur this evening. The combination of falling snow and strong winds will cause near whiteout conditions at times. Those traveling tonight and into Thanksgiving Day should be prepared to encounter winter travel conditions across Western Lower Michigan. Travel will be slowed and slippery conditions will develop. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Periods of lake effect snow are expected through Thursday and into early Friday. Another, more widespread accumulating snow event is expected this weekend from Saturday into Sunday.
