Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Much of Wrn NC...NW SC and NE GA
National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC
254 PM EDT Fri Sep 18 2026

.DISCUSSION...
1. A cold front dropping down slowly from the north may trigger
a few severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening,
and again over the western half of the forecast area on Saturday
afternoon and evening. Otherwise, this afternoon should be the
last really hot day for the next week.
2. A shift in the upper pattern will finally bring some cool
weather right on schedule for the start of autumn.
