.DISCUSSION...
Hot this afternoon with highs in the upper 80s, possibly hitting 90 on
lower slopes and in valleys (mainly toward the southern portion of the
county where the SAR site is located).  Winds to remain mostly light.
However, we are already seeing widespread showers developing over the
NC mountains, currently as far south as the Rabun-Macon County line,
with potential for development of showers and storms over Rabun County
through most of the afternoon and early evening.

A strong to severe storm may develop, especially in the next 4 to 5 hours,
capable of producing damaging winds and brief torrential rain.
