07/16/2025 Jackson NC Emergency Mngr
EM reported a small flash flood along Thomas
Valley Road, tributaries draining into the
Tuckasegee River rose rapidly. An unnamed
creek washed out a bridge and a portion of
the railroad. Another small creek, Bumgarner
Branch, overflowed its banks, rerouting
through a yard over 5 feet deep, requiring a
water rescue from a home. No damage to
campground along the river.
