At 1124 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a narrow line of heavy
showers extending from Rutherfordton to Spartanburg to 15 miles
south of Greenwood. Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects like
         holiday decorations.

Locations impacted include...
Gastonia, Rock Hill, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Monroe, Shelby,
Gaffney, Union, York, and Chester.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A brief heavy downpour rainfall is also occurring with these storms
and may lead to reduced visibility and localized ponding of water on
roadways. Slow down and maintain an extra following distance between
