...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL JACKSON...
SOUTHWESTERN MADISON...NORTHEASTERN SWAIN...HAYWOOD AND WEST CENTRAL
BUNCOMBE COUNTIES THROUGH 415 AM EDT...

At 336 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 15 miles southeast of Morristown Tennessee to
near Newport to 4 miles southeast of Gatlinburg. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, with gusts of 45 to 50 mph
         possible on higher ridgetops.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley, Hot Springs, Balsam,
Clyde, the Smoky Mountains including the Cataloochee, Balsam
Mountain, and Big Creek areas, and a portion of the B.R.
Parkway between the Smoky Mountains and Balsam Gap.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
