...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN AND
SOUTHWESTERN STEPHENS COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...
At 932 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Carnesville, or 6 miles southwest of Avalon,
moving northwest at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Toccoa, Martin, Avalon, Eastanolee, and Boydville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
