Yesterday, 0.46 inches of rain fell at Guam International Airport,
which caused the KBDI to decrease slightly to 308, but this is still
in the moderate fire danger category. A seasonally dry weather
pattern is expected to develop across the region over the next
several days and will allow the KBDI to climb. Antecedent moisture
will continue to keep keep the fire risk in check for the next few
weeks at least, but the Marianas is starting to transition into its
typical dry season that usually runs from late December or January
to about May.
