A trace of rain fell yesterday at Guam International Airport,
which allowed the KBDI to risk to 296, which is still in the low
category. Besides for a weak trough passing near Guam tonight and
Friday, a drier weather pattern is expected to develop across the
region over the next several days and should allow the fire danger
to climb into the moderate category as the KBDI climbs above 299.
Antecedent moisture will continue to keep a lid on fire activity for
the next few weeks at least. Nevertheless, caution is still
recommended for any outdoor burning during periods when fresh to
strong trade winds are present.
