.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will cross the area on Friday with widespread
showers and some embedded thunderstorms. Showers will approach
western NH first in the morning, but this area may receive the
least amount of rainfall. Further east as daytime heating builds,
more fuel will be available for thunderstorms as well as multiple
rounds of showers. Here a half inch of rain will be possible for
much of the region, with isolated locations of around 1 inch.
Much of the rain will push into eastern Maine by midnight with
drier weather set for Saturday and Sunday. A few isolated showers
will be possible for Saturday under cooler and cloudy conditions,
but wetting rain from these is not expected.
Dry weather takes hold through midweek, with the next chance for
precipitation into Thursday.
