It should be a cool morning at the burn site with temperatures in
the lower 50s to start the forecast period. We should also see
some patchy fog in the area through 8 or 9 AM EDT. Temperatures
will warm into the upper 70s today with dewpoints in the lower
50s. Relative humidity will dip to around 36 percent in the
afternoon. Winds will be light and variable this morning, becoming
southerly to around 5 mph later in the day with gusts to around
10 mph. Winds could be a little bit enhanced on the southern
facing slope, especially on exposed cliffs or ridges where brief
gusts 12 to 15 mph will be possible. On the north slope, winds
will be lighter but may be a little bit more erratic directional
wise as the southerly flow leads to some eddies on the backside of
the ridge.
Clouds will be on the increase through the day ahead of an
approaching low pressure system that will bring a high chance for
wetting rains this evening and Monday.
