Expect plenty of clouds today at the burn site with some
uncertainty regarding precipitation chances. There could be a few
sprinkles this morning but the better chances for showers and at
least some wetting rain will be later today into tonight as a cold
front moves through the region. The persistent clouds will keep
smoke dispersal in poor to fair categories through the day. Winds
will be light through the day, mainly prevailing out of the
southeast with gusts up to 7 mph or so. Rain chances then increase
later this afternoon and especially into the overnight hours. As
of now, it appears that there will be a tight gradient where the
wetting rains will setup and the burn site may be right along that
northern gradient. If the system were to trend a little bit
north, there would be a better chance and if it were to trend
south, a drier solution is likely.
The high today should be around 68, potentially reaching into the
lower 70s if we have some cloud breaks. With afternoon dewpoints
in the mid to upper 50s, afternoon humidity will only dip into the
70 to 80 percent range.
Rain chances will move out by early Friday morning, giving way to
a mostly sunny sky through the rest of the day. It will become
quite breezy behind the front mid to late morning with gusts to 30
mph out of the northwest by the afternoon hours. Afternoon
humidity will dip to around 40 percent.
