* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Kennebec County in south central Maine...
  Northwestern Waldo County in south central Maine...
  Somerset County in west central Maine...
  Southeastern Franklin County in western Maine...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 408 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Wilton to 7 miles east of Jay to near Belgrade,
  moving northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Waterville, Farmington, Fairfield, Oakland, Skowhegan, Pittsfield,
  Madison, Jay, Clinton, Belgrade, Manchester, Kingfield, Bingham,
  Norridgewock, Wilton, Benton, Anson, Canaan, Hartland, and
  Chesterville.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 123 and 148.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Damaging wind and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring
with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of
nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are
close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
