.The moderate-period northwest (340 deg) swell that filled in
overnight came in much larger than predicted and continues to run
high. Anticipate the swell dropping below advisory level later
tonight.

* WHAT...Surf of 10 to 15 feet along north facing shores, and 8
  to 12 feet along west facing shores.

* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu
  and Molokai, as well as north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN...Until midnight HST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
  will make swimming dangerous.
