...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO
4 AM HST FRIDAY FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES OF NIIHAU KAUAI
OAHU AND MOLOKAI AND NORTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI...

.A moderate to large, long-period, northwest (320-340 degree)
swell will quickly fill in this morning and peak tonight into
Thursday morning, then slowly ease. This swell is expected to
bring high surf to exposed north and west facing beaches through
at least early Friday morning.

* WHAT...Surf rising to 15 to 20 feet along north facing shores
  and 10 to 15 feet along west facing shores.

* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu,
  and Molokai and north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 4 AM HST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
  will make swimming dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don`t
go out.
