MAUI AND BIG ISLAND THROUGH 6 PM THIS EVENING...

.While trade winds will gradually weaken today, the generated
short period easterly swell will be slow to subside. Rough,
choppy surf will continue along many east-facing shores through
the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
  will make swimming dangerous.
