.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
 A weak surface ridge will remain over the area today and
maintain light to moderate southeast background flow. A cold
front will approach Kauai from the northwest on Wednesday, weaken
into a trough, then retrograde back westward on Thursday into
Friday. A ridge of high pressure is expected to build north of
the state Friday through the weekend and bring a return of
locally strong easterly trades. A moderate to large northwest
swell will begin to build late Wednesday, peak late Thursday into
Friday, then decline into the weekend. Combined seas may reach
Small Craft Advisory criteria.
