.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A surface high will remain far north of the Hawaiian Islands
through the week. At 500 PM, Hurricane Lowell was centered about
150 miles southwest of Lihue, and is moving towards the north-
northeast at 16 kt. Winds will gradually veer out of the southeast
to south with the strongest winds across the western end of the
state through Tuesday. A Hurricane Warning is in effect
for the coastal waters west of Kauai, and a Tropical Storm
Warning is in effect for waters elsewhere near Kauai and Oahu.
