...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM HST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The entire island of Kauai.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1039 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over the
    entire island of Kauai. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Rain was falling at a rate of
    1 to 1.5 inches per hour. Stream levels including along the
    Hanalei River are rising swiftly as heavy rain bands continue to
    develop over the mountains of Kauai.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    The entire island of Kauai.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
