.DISCUSSION...
High pressure north of the state will maintain breezy to locally
windy trade winds through the week. Showers will favor windward
coasts and slopes. Aside from the Kona Slopes of the Big Island,
leeward areas will experience infrequent periods of light rainfall
leading to elevated fire danger through the week. An increase in
shower activity is possible over the weekend and early next week
as an upper- level disturbance approaches the region.
