.DISCUSSION...
Hurricane Lala will pass over, or just south of the Big Island this
afternoon, then continue west-nortwestward sout of Maui late this
afternoon into the evening. Winds at this location will strenghten
out of the northeast this afternoon into the evening as Lala moves
south of the Big Island. On Sunday, Lala will move further away to
the west-northwest and background winds will veer east-southeast,
bringing lighter to this area. Shower coverage and heavy rain
leading to flash flooding potential will peak later this afternoon
into the evening, then gradually improve through the day on Sunday.
