A surface trough will linger through tomorrow bringing southeasterly winds and scattered to numerous thunderstorms through Thursday night. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong with blinding downpours and powerful gusting winds. By Friday, upper level instability will be decreasing and a surface ridge north of the area will build in, allowing more stable east northeasterly trade winds to set in. By late Sunday, an upper level low could drift overhead from the east, increasing showers and thunderstorm chances again.
