.DISCUSSION...
A more seasonable trade wind pattern has returned to the state with
the exit of Tropical Cyclone Lala. Expect typical trade wind showers
focused along windward and mauka areas through tonight. Trade
winds weaken Wednesday into the latter half of the week as a
trough passes northeast of the islands, setting up a daytime sea
breeze and overnight land breeze regime. A trough also brings an
increase in moisture that will produce an uptick in shower
activity through Friday. This weekend, trade winds restrengthen.
Looking ahead to early next week, an increase in shower activity
is possible as deeper tropical moisture could move over portions
of the state.

As far as rainfall amounts for the rest of this week, total accumulation
between now and 6pm Saturday is forecast to remain under 1 inch at this
time.
