Service.

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure far to the northeast of Laysan and Lisianski
Islands will keep a gentle to moderate east to southeasterly
breeze in place through the weekend. A weak trough lifting through
the region today into Friday brings scattered showers. Though
thunderstorms are unlikely, a lightning strike or two cannot be
completely ruled out through Friday morning. Beyond that point,
thunderstorms are not expected and shower activity becomes
isolated.

A small, medium-period north-northeast swell will build and peak
tonight before fading through the weekend. A long-period west-
northwest swell arrives Friday night and builds gradually through
the weekend. Otherwise, south swell energy will remain small (2
feet or less) over the next five days.
