.DISCUSSION..Breezy trade winds will steadily strengthen tonight
through the weekend as Hurricane Nolo approaches the Big Island
from the south and then accelerates westward well south of the
smaller islands. Moisture associated with Nolo`s rainbands will
bring passing showers through the weekend with the greater
moisture associated with Nolo concentrated well to the south. The
main concern for Maui will be strong northeast winds. Winds are
expected to gradually increase with the stronger gusty winds
expected on Saturday as Nolo core get at its closest point of
approach Saturday morning. A Flash flood watch and a tropical
storm watch are in effect.
