.DISCUSSION...
Hurricane Lowell moving north-northwest at 5 knots this morning located
about 575 nm SE of French Frigate Shoals. The latest track has it
getting as close as 240 nm SE of the Shoals Monday night as Lowell
starts to track NW as it will skirt north of the area Tuesday and
Wednesday. Latest guidance has the storm on the edge of the
tropical storm force winds as any movement to the northwest could
significantly increase impacts over the area. A large medium to
long period southeast swell from Lowell is also expected to build
Monday and peak Tuesday night. Large E swell is expected from
former Hurricane Karina is expected to build on Wednesday.
