Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
High pressure NE of the area will weaken. As a new high builds NW
of Hawaiian waters by Tuesday, as a surface trough forms over the
Hawaiian region by Monday, and a cold front moves into NW waters
on Tuesday. Near gale-force winds are forecast NW of the cold
frontal boundary. Isolated thunderstorms are possible due to
unstable conditions through much of the forecast period.
