.DISCUSSION...
A series of long-period south to southwest swells will fill in through
the rest of the week, leading to a gradual increase in surf for
south-facing shores through the weekend. Surf is initially small
today, but will trend upward toward the High Surf Advisory threshold
by this weekend. Surf along east-facing shores increases today into
Thursday as trade winds strengthen and a small, medium-period east
swell from the remnants of Tropical Storm Norbert arrives. Flat to
tiny surf along north facing shores is expected through the forecast
period.

the forecast will occur periodically, sometimes up to a few hours
apart. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near the surf zone,
with rip current strength increasing with surf size. Swimmers are
urged to exercise caution at all times and enter the water near a
lifeguard.
