Issued at 1135 AM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025 - Isolated showers and storms will be possible along the coast and in the Gulf waters through the next several days - Hazardous marine conditions possible later in the week due to increasing winds && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1135 AM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025 We continue on our stretch of rather benign weather days. An upper-level ridge of high pressure will build over Texas through this week keeping the region unseasonably warm and mostly rain- free. Cannot out-rule an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm, especially south of I-10, due to daytime heating and moisture moving in from the Gulf. Guidance continues to indicate a weak boundary sliding in from the north Thursday or Friday ushering in drier, slightly cooler conditions. Afternoon high temperatures through Wednesday will be in the low to mid-90s with overnight lows in the low to mid-70s. Once that weak boundary moves through the region expected daytime highs to cool to the upper 80s to low 90s and overnight lows generally into the low to mid 60s. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAF Issuance) Issued at 616 PM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025 Expect VFR conditions for much of the forecast period, although some sites could see MVFR cigs due to the potential for patchy fog. If fog does develop, it should burn off before 15Z. Although chances are below 20%, isolated -SHRA/TSRA could develop during the afternoon hours. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies. As for winds, they will be light and VRB through Tues morning, then become E-ESE and strengthen to 06-10KTS. Cotto && .MARINE... Issued at 1135 AM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025 Light onshore flow and low seas will continue through Wednesday. An increase in the onshore winds, to around 15-20kt with higher gusts, will begin as early as Wednesday night and persist through Friday. This increase in winds will likely also increase wave heights to 4-6ft in the coastal waters, and an increase in water- levels in the Bays and immediate coast. There will continue to be a daily chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms through this week. Fowler && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
